Bye Bye BBC 6 Music

Quite an elusive sound. At first sight it sets one back in a 1970s-jazzy, tranquille atmosphere, but during the bridge, just before the last chorus, one gets pulled back into today's electro-lined zeitgeist with accurately timed, syncopated rhythms and synthesised background effects. It Is Not A Shame To Be Slow! >> In my opinion, education should always be amongst the top ten priorities on any governments' domestic agenda. Unfortunately, there's still a lot to be improved in British schools & universities concerning student support and special needs, particularly regarding the wide-spread learning disorder, dyslexia. Often being dismissed as: 'You're too slow. Put more effort into your work.', dyslexic student are outfaced and disadvantaged. For this reason, Ki Mc Roberts started the not-for-profit Resolution Daes Project which aims to raise dyslexia unawareness in the UK via music events. Special focus lies on the training of dyslexia teachers as well as on allocating schools with special dyslexia friendly equipment. As for this year, the project targets the enrolment of 4,000 teachers in the government's special teacher training course. This afternoon it'll be Liverpool's turn to host a Dyslexia Music Awareness event together with a couple of bands including Kyle Falconer and The Grand, which devoted themselves to this urgent matter.
