Tomorrow night might be legendary depending on whether or not the infamous Mr Doherty decides to turn up. Yes, that's right.
What is your view on this one? Surely, they've skipped a couple of gigs in the past, but I just find that the whole situation is far too exaggerated by the media.
Babyshambles are still a fabulous band and fabulous bands need some dramarama, otherwise we wouldn't love them as much, would we?
What concerns me more than Pete chickening out, is the actual ticket price. I'm not going to lie to you but 21 quid plus b.f.? Could have been a little less for my taste. Nevermind, their 'scandalous' reputation and the hype that comes with it, but this is the mid-sized-open-to-everbody's-pocket-we-like-it-intimate O2 Academy and not Echo Arena...
>> O2 Academy on Facebook: '30 tickets available on the door for The Horrors tonight! Tickets still available for Babyshambles tomorrow night!'
Maybe it's just me getting a little freaked out about my slightly postponed Christmas shopping of which I only managed to buy one item so far - A ticket for my dad for Nazareth & Deborah Bonham on 9th February 2010 (again at 02 Academy).
My evenutally-stuck-in-the-70s mind was absolutely stoked about that one. Should be brilliant!
